I painted two slightly different versions of this picture as stimuli for a neuroscience study conducted at Ford Gallery, Portland, OR, in late 2018.

This is about guns. Making this self portrait with my daughter brought about some important conversations for us, which was my goal as a military veteran and former farm kid whose child does shelter-in-place drills at school.
